As promised, here’s a blurb for this Sunday’s fireside.
The World of Isaiah and Jeremiah: Israelite Faith Crises
Sunday July 20, 7pm, Penman building in E. Jacksonville, Fl.
I’d been planning a fireside about Israelite history but was looking for a good unifying theme/application. And then I read this post.
We’ll be talking about some Israelite history and background in the time of Isaiah and then Jeremiah that created faith crises, and draw application from those to modern times.

By “the Penman building” do you mean the church building in Neptune Beach on Penman Road? I have some friends who are interested in coming from Gainesville.

That’s the one.

Wish I could be there!

Ben, Collin Bradford, below, recommended the fireside, and I came. I was the woman in the front row with the younger bearded man. We are both musicologists; I teach gospel doctrine and he subs for me when I have to be away. We both enjoyed the fireside a great deal, and would have loved to have stayed for the discussion–but alas! We had to get all the way back to Gainesville, so we left before the Q&A. Thanks for the blog and for the fireside.
